COVID-19 and the Zoom Industry

When COVID-19 hit the United States during March of 2020, the country came to an abrupt halt. As most businesses had no choice other than to stop in-person work, leaders were required to develop creative solutions to move the company forward. With expanded technology development over the past two decades, many have looked into alternative workforce methods that allow flexibility in a virtual environment. With the creation of software aiding a variety of platforms, companies have been able to expand their network and create a better experience for their customers and clients.

One primary solution for many companies became utilizing an online conferencing platform for meetings, teamwork, and project management. While certain video conferencing platforms have been available since before the pandemic, the use of programs such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams drastically increased since COVID-19 hit. According to Digital in the Round (2021), 76% of employees used video conferencing for remote work, video meetings improved productivity by 50%, and video conferencing saw a 535% rise in daily traffic during 2020. With companies establishing more hybrid workdays and virtual meetings, online conferencing platforms are becoming the new corporate normal.

One addition to RepuCare’s recruiting process is a hiring software called Luma Teams that has the ability to improve staffing procedures by providing interview analytics. Luma Teams is an intelligence software program that runs in coordination with your Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and conferencing platform. At RepuCare, we use Luma to gather video and data from each interview, aiding hiring managers in making more informed decisions. By using Luma, clients can provide RepuCare’s acquisition team with core competencies needed by a candidate. We are then able to identify those abilities during interviews through an automated transcript created by the program. After an interview has concluded, our team sends “highlights” to hiring managers when a core competency is mentioned or preferred skills get discussed in further detail.

As data-driven recruiting and a virtual environment becomes more commonplace, RepuCare continues to advance within the healthcare industry in order to provide our clients and employees with the best experience. If you would like to learn more about RepuCare’s use of Luma’s software and how it can be beneficial for your company, email us at info@repucare.com.
