About the Role

•Conduct comprehensive, biopsychosocial assessments for patients who are referred for addiction services; issuing diagnosis when appropriate
•Maintain an individualized caseload of patients from enrollment to discharge
•Meet with patients on an individual basis to orient patient to treatment, create an initial treatment plan, revise and review treatment plans, and perform counseling both individually and in group settings
•Enter clinical documentation into Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) and maintain patient records in accordance with federal, state, and department policy
•Provide clinical supervision/training as assigned by Facility ARS Director
•Inform Director of Addiction Recovery and appropriate staff of significant changes in patient’s physical or mental functioning submitting referrals to other departments as appropriate
•Responsible for attending weekly and/or monthly staff meetings to discuss patient care and all aspects of treatment Demonstrate understanding of evidenced based practices in terms of interventions and approaches such as Motivational Interviewing techniques, Cognitive Behavioral techniques, Person Centered Planning, and Harm Reduction
•Awareness of crisis intervention and response- recognizing emotional stress and utilizing resources to resolve problems
•Proactive in performance improvement activities as demonstrated by participating in the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program (peer review; record reviews; membership on the CQI committee as requested) and modifying clinical practices based on CQI recommendations



  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the behavioral health field,

  • Must possess a current Indiana behavioral health license such as LCACA, LCAC, LSW, LCSW, LMHC (independently licensed preferred)

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of addictions

  • At time of hire or during initial onsite training, must show/obtain current tuberculosis documentation, must be appropriately certified in first aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS), and automated external defibrillator (AED) use

  • Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable

We are currently partnered with a large company in need of licensed mental health professionals to work onsite at correctional facilities in Indiana. You would not travel to different facilities, but would be home-based at the one closest to your geographic location.
