About the Role
Position Summary:
The Critical Incidents Analyst plays a key role in supporting and investigating high-priority incidents that may impact member safety and welfare. This remote position requires a detail-oriented professional capable of navigating complex care systems and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely response and resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Support state investigations, including mortality reviews.
Evaluate reported incidents to determine if abuse, neglect, or exploitation (ANE) has occurred; report suspected ANE cases to Adult Protective Services (APS).
Conduct ongoing assessment and management of potential threats to member health, safety, and welfare; take immediate action when necessary.
Gather and review additional information from providers or related parties to clarify and complete investigations.
Communicate with members, service providers, and internal partners regarding incident details, concerns, and mitigation efforts.
Conduct full investigations and ensure timely completion within 30 days.
Monitor and oversee corrective actions to eliminate root causes of incidents.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams as needed throughout the review process.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with industry standards.
Manage databases and complete standardized reports and data analyses within established timelines.
Provide after-hours and holiday support for critical incidents and ANE cases as required.
Requirements
Associate’s degree or higher in Social Services or a healthcare-related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of direct service experience with older adults or persons with disabilities, including assessment, care planning, and monitoring.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare, managed care, or a government healthcare/human services environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to conduct occasional in-person home or community member visits within assigned coverage area.
Additional Information:
This is a hybrid role requiring both remote and on-site availability in Indiana.
Virtual interviews will be conducted in two rounds.
Some after-hours work may be necessary based on case needs.
