About the Role
Position Summary:
The Data Analyst 2 is responsible for coordinating changes to computer databases, testing, and implementing database systems while applying expert knowledge in database management. This role supports data validation, reconciliation, and analysis to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and usability.
Key Responsibilities:
Test databases and programs, identify and correct errors, and implement modifications as needed.
Modify and maintain existing databases and database management systems.
Write and code logical and physical database descriptions.
Direct analysts or developers on database modifications.
Plan and implement database security measures.
Present analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Adapt quickly to shifting business priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Must Haves:
3+ years of analytic experience using SQL, Teradata, and Power BI.
Hands-on reconciliation experience comparing large data sets to identify mismatches.
Proven validation experience to confirm output accuracy.
Strong ability to communicate findings effectively, including delivering presentations.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Nice to Haves:
Healthcare analytics experience.
Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.
Disqualifiers:
No experience with SQL or Teradata will disqualify candidates from consideration.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
Customer service-oriented with solid interpersonal skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Familiarity with database management software.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Associate’s degree in Computer Programming or equivalent training required.
2–4 years of database analysis or programming experience (in addition to the must-have requirements above).
