About the Role
The Outreach Representative position is hybrid. Most of the training is remote. Working in the office rarely happens. If working in the office is expected, advance notice is given.
This position focuses on networking with members of the community. The goal is to educate individuals to maintain current MDwise members and attract new MDwise membership.
Some of the responsibilities may include identifying gaps in care and working with quality improvement initiatives.
The Outreach Representative will encourage members to seek preventative health screenings (annual physicals, mammograms, preventative/well visits).
The candidate must be comfortable and experienced making outbound phone calls/being in an outreach position, have previous knowledge of HMO and health plans. There are cold calls, inquiring why a person has not scheduled / attended an appointment.
The Outreach Representative needs to be experienced and prepared to explain what the service is that is being questioned. There may be feedback from the member on medical or detailed reasons why they have not attended the appointment in question.
There are scripts that are provided for each type of call. There are also metrics for the Outreach Representative to successfully meet daily and monthly.
