About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting activities to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger account balances to ensure financial accuracy.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
Conduct internal control assessments, including risk evaluations and process reviews.
Monitor and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) to ensure accuracy, timely processing, and compliance with company policies.
Assist with budget preparation, monitor expenditures, and prepare monthly budget variance analyses.
Develop and monitor financial performance metrics to support business decision-making.
Assess current accounting operations, recommend improvements, and assist in implementing new processes.
Manage regulatory reporting requirements, including tax planning and compliance.
Assist in the coordination of external audits by preparing documentation and supporting audit activities.
Provide support for special projects and initiatives related to accounting and financial management as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • CPA, CGMA, or CMA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

  • Experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and internal controls.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
